THE ART OF GIVING

Frisco Arts wishes you and your family "Happy Holidays", and it is our hope that in the abundance of all the blessings of this joyful season that we will each remember "the art of giving" to those in need.

Little Hands is a volunteer program of Frisco Family Services for children ages 10 and under. The mission of the Little Hands Program is..."To teach our children by example that giving back is a lifestyle and to encourage them to learn the value of selflessness while serving together with grateful hearts."

Over the weekend of Dec. 5 & 6, Frisco Family Services hosted a stocking decorating party at the Frisco Arts Facility. The project was designed for "little" volunteers to decorate and fill stockings for those in need this holiday season.

173 kids and parents from Frisco, McKinney and Plano designed and stuffed 165 stockings!!!!

"Who is Frisco Arts?"

Frisco Arts is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, community based organization formed by citizens and business leaders and serves as a vital agent and community partner in supporting and promoting the arts in Frisco. Frisco is a young and growing community, and Frisco Arts recognizes that the arts are an important tool for educational, economic and community development. Frisco Arts was recently designated the Local Arts Agency for the City of Frisco through a resolution by the City Council.

In 2008, Frisco Arts hosted over 300 art related events at our facility at 6827 Main Street. More than 3,000 people attended these events. In addition, we also provide grants, scholarships, and sponsorships to a variety of local art groups who bring art to the citizens of Frisco.
