Louisiana Street in downtown McKinney, on the square.

Ed and Lurlene Pickens are the hosts of their local access, television talk show (think Regis and Kelly) Good Mornin' Smackover! They find themselves in a real perdicament when their small-town of Smackover has a freak snowstorm and Ed and Lurlene become stranded. The show must go on, however, so they must broadcast the Christmas Special from their own home's basement!

Don't miss out on all the hilarity as they improvise, using Ed's cranky teenage niece with attitude (what teenager doesn't have attitude) as the production assistant. Ed's mother, still trying to make it to the senior center for bingo, joins them for the cooking segment. Since, musical guests, The Dudds, are the only ones to actually make it through the blizzard, they lend a hand, when all nine of Melinda Dudds' children are roped into doing the Christmas Fashion show segment and Lurlene must use the overly unpleasant and sour Belinda Dudd for the fabulous Christmas Makeover. When a ring of the doorbell turns out to be Bubba Walters, whose snow plow breaks down in front of the house, Ed and Lurlene decide to bring him on and all turns into a comedy of errors of epic proportions as they Bubba tries to muddle his way through the Best Christmas Toy Gifts segment while tryin' to impress the newly made over Belinda Dudd. All's well that ends well, though, as the children are again corralled and used for a heartwarming nativity scene and everyone joins in for a medley of Christmas hymns. This show is sure to please everyone in your family!

Merry Christmas, Smackover! Cast members include Randy and Carrie Varnell of Plano, Georgana Jinks of Sachse, Laura Goodwin of Richardson, Melinda Whitten of McKinney and Gary and Becky McCants of Frisco.
